Can a massage therapist come to my condo or serviced apartment in Bangkok?

Yes. Soul Treats Bangkok has no spa premises: every treatment happens where you are staying, and our therapists visit homes, condos and serviced apartments across central Bangkok as well as hotels. A therapist usually arrives about 40 minutes after you book, depending on traffic.

For people who live in Bangkok, or stay long enough to rent a place, that changes how massage fits into the week. There is no taxi along Sukhumvit Road at rush hour, no waiting room and no journey home afterwards. Your therapist arrives in the brown Soul Treats uniform and brings the massage oils and balm. There is no portable table to carry in and nothing to set up: the massage takes place on your own bed, so all you need is a clean bed sheet, a comfortable room temperature and a little quiet. All our therapists are women, professionally trained in traditional Thai massage, oil massage and aromatherapy.

Will condo security let a massage therapist in?

Usually, yes, as long as the building knows a visitor is coming. Bangkok condos take security seriously, and a few minutes of notice from you is what turns a slow check at the lobby into a smooth arrival.

Every building has its own rules, but these are the common practices in Bangkok condos and serviced apartments. They are the building's procedures, not Soul Treats rules, and our therapists are used to all of them:

• Lobby registration. Most condos ask visitors to sign in at the security desk with their name, the unit they are visiting and the time.
• ID for a visitor card. At some buildings, visitors exchange an ID card for a visitor pass at the desk and collect it again on the way out. This is standard in many Bangkok buildings and nothing to worry about.
• Advance notice. Telling the juristic office (building management) or the security desk that you are expecting a massage therapist, with her arrival time, saves a phone call up to your unit.
• Key-card lifts. In many condos the lifts, and sometimes the lobby doors, only work with a resident's key card. If so, plan to come down and meet your therapist in the lobby.

The simplest arrival. When we confirm the time, tell the security desk you are expecting a Soul Treats therapist, then head down to the lobby a few minutes before she is due. You can ride the lift up together, and the session starts on time.

What should I send when I book a massage at my condo?

Send the building name, tower, floor and unit, which entrance to use, and a map pin, together with the treatment, length and start time. One complete message lets us confirm a therapist and an arrival time straight away.

Bangkok addresses can be hard to follow: large developments have several towers, some sois have more than one entrance, and building names are often written differently in Thai and English. A little extra detail saves your therapist from circling the block in a taxi.

Is there a travel charge for a home massage in Bangkok?

Not within 7 km of Sukhumvit Soi 22, which covers most central neighbourhoods where condos and serviced apartments are concentrated. Further out, we quote the taxi fare and arrival time before your therapist sets off, so you know the full cost before you say yes.

For a sense of scale, Phrom Phong is about 0.4 km from Soi 22, Thong Lo 1.2 km, Asok 1.3 km, Ekkamai 2.0 km, Phra Khanong 2.9 km, Silom 3.7 km, Sathorn 4.2 km and the Riverside around 5.9 km, all inside the radius. Prices are the same at home as anywhere else: traditional Thai is THB 800 for 60 minutes, THB 1,000 for 90 and THB 1,300 for 120, and Oil Relaxation is THB 900, THB 1,100 and THB 1,400. You can pay in cash, by Thai QR (PromptPay), by bank transfer, or with a Visa or Mastercard. Tips are optional: appreciated, never expected and never added to the price.

Can I book a massage at my Airbnb or short-stay rental?

Yes. A holiday rental or short-stay apartment works exactly like any other condo booking: send the building, unit and a map pin, and check the building's visitor rules before your therapist arrives.

Short-stay guests are often the ones least familiar with how their building handles visitors, so it is worth a quick look at the check-in notes or a message to your host. Ask how visitors register, whether the lobby needs a key card, and which entrance a taxi should use. If you are staying for a week or two near BTS Asok or Phrom Phong, it can help to introduce yourself at the security desk on the first day, so the guards know your unit when a visitor asks for you later.

If plans change, cancellation is free up to 1 hour before the booked start time.

Can I book a regular massage at home, say weekly after work?

Yes, just message us with the day and time that suits you. Some residents like to keep the same evening each week, and you can ask for a favourite therapist each time, subject to availability.

A regular slot is where a home massage really pays off. There is no commute to fit around, so a session at 8pm on a Tuesday is easy to keep even in a busy week. Over time, a therapist who visits regularly learns where you tend to hold tension and how much pressure you like. Some people keep to one treatment, while others choose week by week, for example traditional Thai after long days at a desk, or deep tissue (THB 1,000 for 60 minutes) when the shoulders feel tight. Can I book a home massage late in the evening?

Yes. We are open every day until 3am, so a session after a late dinner or a long day in the office is easy to arrange. Some buildings are stricter at night, though, so give security a little more notice.

After dark, some condos lock the main lobby door, move visitors to a single entrance or ask the night guard to call up to your unit before anyone goes through. None of this is a problem when security knows a visitor is expected and you are ready to meet your therapist in the lobby. Booking ahead also helps, because the latest slots of the night fill first.
